First let me say not being a Romanist I
dont have a dog in this fight. However if
you listin to Martin on the AB> show he, when asked about Lycanthropy, clearly had
no idea what the person was talking about and answered diplomatically

Gents, although there are many things with which we might take issue with Malachi Martin, we do know he was a Vatican insider and read the Third Secret of Fatima. For what it is worth, Fr. Fahey held to a mass conversion of the Jews due to the fact that he thought they were God's chosen people, but that doesn't mean I reject everything else that Fr. Fahey taught about the Jews, which is quite good. The issue here for us is Martin's knowledge of the Third Secret of Fatima. That's all. As for his other beliefs that are or may be suspect, if we had to reject every Catholic based on the supposition that we had to agree with every opinion he/she holds, we wouldn't accept anyone and we would all be islands floating in a vast sea. Take what is good from Martin and leave the rest. I would especially like to see the innuendo about his personal life kept out of this discussion. Statements like "he is accused of" and "he is thought to have" and "there are pictures of him with" and therefore "stay away from anything he says" are classic gossip mongering character assassination epithets that have no place in Catholic communication.

Fr. Martin was a strange man, to say the least. There are pictures of him with sedevacantist Bishop Jose Gaston-Lopez ordaining Dr. Rama Coomaraswarmy to the priesthood. Martin claims to have been secretly consecrated a bishop by Pope Pius XII, but has not one shred of evidence to back it up. Moreover, he has been accused of adultery with another man's wife in "Clerical Error." For a johnny-come-lately "conservative", he is thought to have helped compose "Nostra Aetate" during Vatican II. He claims allegence to the pope but has worked with sedevacantists as I noted above. He appeared on the Art Bell show a couple of years before his death (there are transcripts) and claimed that he believed in werewolves (yes, you read that correctly). Stay away from anything he says

Malachi Martin is an enigma. He appears to speak the truth on so many issues, but those more knowledgeable than I have termed his work "Jesuit phenomenology chess, and if you like it, then Martin is your man." and "Malachi Martin's stuff is the deep-cover placebo emanating from the Roman cryptocracy itself." So, how do we parse the truth from the above videos? For instance, I shuttered when I listened to his answer to a questioner on Video #2, at the 5:56 mark. He apparently is espousing a permanent "Chosen" status on the Jewish People. That simply isn't taught by Scripture, the Fathers or the Magisterium. In fact, it is contrary and destructive to the understanding of the New Covenant, and the sacrifice of the Cross.
